SHAG DANCE LESSONS

Shag Dance lessons are taught periodically by The Danville Shag Club. All proceeds support our club activities and help to promote Shag Dancing.

Beginner Shag The Danville Shag Club is once again offering you an opportunity to learn the “dance of the South” - the Shag! Let Danville’s very own Shag Icon, John Gilstrap, teach you the basic steps of shag in this 6-week beginner shag class. Call to add your name to the registration list. Classes are held from 7-8 pm, and run Tuesday, February 2 and end March 9. Cost: $30.

Intermediate Shag - Male/Female Lead Steps John and Janice Gilstrap along with members of the Danville Shag Club will teach a 6-week intermediate shag class featuring male/female lead steps. Call to add your name to the registration list. Classes held on Tuesdays from 8-9 pm beginning February 2 and end March 9. Cost: $30.
