Dear Shag Club Members : We have had some wonderful events going on this summer and Fall SOS was again a great one; with 75% of our membership gathering on the beach to party and socialize with each other. Finally relocating back to where we shagged for years locally, with a newly renovated upscale design that we all have been waiting has been a great positive move for our club. So lets work together to keep our Friday night attendances worth being able to stay at Highlanders. . The next few months will be busy for all of us. October 1 Greater Triad Shag Club is hosting the Meet the Area Shag Party. Please try and attend. John and Janice need shag club members, to help with shag lessons. So please mark your calendar to assist. with these classes that will run for 6weeks starting October 5th, 7 pm We are hosting the area shag club dance at Highlanders November 19th; Please plan to attend and help show our appreciation to the other area shag clubs. Then we have our Christmas party, which will be held, at Highlanders on December 9th. Donna Amos & Darrell McMillian are co-chairs of Special Events committee and have been working hard to plan our special events If you are interested being on this committee please contact either of them. I am sure they will welcome the any help that you can offer. We have had great attendance at our regular Friday shag night since we have relocated to Highlanders and Angela Perkins has really been accommodating to us. We will continue our phone communication and Donna Agee; who chairs this committee will have her committee call with all special events, meetings and any other information as need be. . We will still send emails out but we also will start mailing a Newsletter to those who prefer this route of communication If you are not on a committee and would like to help on one please let me know. Kay Hughes who chairs our Public relations will be sending the Newsletter out and information about upcoming events. She will also include contact numbers for club members who need or want to contact a board member. Please feel free to contact any of the Board members if you have suggestions. Remember this is your shag club and the goal is to enjoy shagging and promote shag. I love this Club. The members are fantastic. You and the shag world have made a memorable impact on my life and I thank you for all you do. Support the Danville Shag Club and our Shag nights.
